Trust Advice Membership
Expert governance support, a comprehensive policy library, and free training, all for less than the cost of a weekly coffee.
There are over 170,000 charities in the UK. Most are run by dedicated, passionate people, often without a large staff or big budget. Governance questions arise. Policies need writing. Regulations change. And it can feel very lonely when you’re not sure of the right answer.
That’s exactly why Trust Advice membership exists. Think of us as your expert team in the background, ready when you need us, without the cost of a full-time adviser.
What you get
Call our 0800 number and speak to someone who actually knows charity governance. Not a call centre, but a dedicated member of our team. Ideal for those “we’re not sure…” moments that come up at trustee meetings.
A comprehensive, ready-to-use library of policies, templates, briefings and guides, all written specifically for charities. No need to start from scratch; we’ve done all the hard work for you.
Every member gets free places on our regular webinars. Insight members also get free places on our longer 1.5-hour training sessions, plus access to our growing Masterclass programme.
We process Gift Aid reclaims at excellent fixed rates compared to other national providers who usually use a percentage rate. For growing charities this change alone often covers the membership cost.
Insight members get access to our full GDPR toolkit, Staff Handbook and a suite of additional compliance guides, the things that take hours to research and write if you’re doing it alone.
We only work with charities in the UK. We understand your pressures, your language, and your mission. When you call us, you’ll be speaking with people who already understand how charities work.
The Policy Library
Good governance isn’t just about good intentions, it needs the right paperwork to back it up. Our library gives members instant access to over 200 carefully maintained documents, updated regularly to reflect current regulations and sector best practice.
The library covers three core areas, Finance, Operations, and Governance, with ready-to-use templates and practical briefings alongside every policy. You’re never starting from a blank page.
In 2025 alone we added 47 new items. Insight members also unlock our in-depth guides, including the Guide to Running an Effective Board Meeting, the Charity Governance Code guide, and our Guide to Writing an Annual Report.
Connect and Insight members both access the core library. Membership starts from £12 a month, making this one of the most cost-effective governance tools available to any charity.
Both plans include the freephone helpline and full policy library. You can choose to pay the membership fee in one go, or spread it over 12 months. Select which option suits your charity below.
Everything you need to get started with confidence. Payments spread over 12 months.
For charities that want the full picture, and the tools to act on it.
All the Connect benefits, billed annually.
The complete package — less than £6 a week for your whole team’s peace of mind.
We can support invoice payment for annual membership. Request an invoice here →
