Setting up a charity involves more than a good idea. You need the right legal structure, a governing document that meets Charity Commission requirements, and the confidence that your application is in the best possible hands. That's where we come in.
We work exclusively with charities, which means we understand the process inside out. Whether you're forming a brand new charity, incorporating an existing unincorporated charity, converting directly from one structure to another, or separating off from a larger body, we'll guide you through every step and handle the detail so you don't have to.
What we can help with
We support charities through a range of formation and constitutional matters, including:
- New CIO registrations
- Incorporations of existing charities
- Direct conversions between structures
- Amendments to governing documents
- Separations and mergers
If you're not sure which structure is right for you, don't worry — helping you work that out is part of what we do.
Our fees
Our fees vary depending on the type of work involved. New CIO registrations range from £1,260 to £1,440 depending on complexity, with fixed fees available for incorporations and direct conversions, all significantly lower than the equivalent cost at a law firm.
The fee covers drafting your governing document, preparing your application, and supporting you through any Charity Commission correspondence.
